ICAO: Health Safety Protocols for Practitioners (HSPxP): Virtual Classroom
COURSE GOAL
This course will allow related staff to acquire the necessary c
ompetencies to plan, implement and monitor processes to mitigate
the effects of COVID-19 in accordance with ICAO guidance material
and following risk management based principles guidance material.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
After having successfully completed this course, the trainees will be able to:
- Consistently support the effective implementation of national/regional aviation public health
procedures aligned with ICAO´s CART Take-off: Guidance for Air Travel through the COVID-19 Public Health Corridor; - Provide basic instruction on the use of risk management software tools (BowtieXP) customized
to support State/RSOO oversight and monitoring of service providers´ COVID-19 protocols; - Manage an effective monitoring system of COVID-19 prevention measures at State/regional levels.
TARGET POPULATION
Primary Target Population:
Staff employed by Regional Safety Oversight Organizations or Civil Aviation Authorities who are involved in:
- Safety oversight tasks in airports and airlines
- Health-related issues
- The organizational structure of COVID-19 plans (e.g: SSP, Facilitation Committees, etc.)
Secondary Target Population:
Staff employed by the following service providers who are involved in COVID-19 related tasks
- Airport operators
- Airlines
- Handling Agents
- Health Authorities

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
- Knowledge and/or work experience about safety management and safety oversight;
- Preferably, to be familiar with ICAO´s Council Aviation Recovery Taskforce (CART) work
(e.g.: Guidance for Air Travel through the COVID-19 Public Health Crisis).
