Instrument rating course (IR)

Objectives of the course
The trainee will obtain the knowledge, skill, and aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements for an instrument rating (airplane). At the completion of the entire Instrument Course, the trainee will develop ability to safely perform the area of the airplane operations required for the proficiency level of an instrument rated pilot with the approval standard.
Duration 12 weeks
Training
- Theoretical training 93 Hours
- Practical training 40 Hours (Simulator 30 Hours)
Pre-entry requirement
- Hold at least a current private or commercial pilot license with airplane category rating appropriate to the instrument rating sought.
- High school graduate (M.S. 6 or Grade 12, or Equivalent).
- Be able to speak, write, and understand the English language.
