COURSE GOAL

This course provides trainees with all aspects of airside operation at an airport. It provides airside officers/technicians/staff and managers with essential knowledge, skill, and attitude toward regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the airside environment to comply with the process of ICAO Annex 14.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

After completing this course, the participants will be equipped with a basic understanding of the following;

Describe operation procedure and standard concerned to Visual aids – signals, Signs, and Marking in airside operations.
Identify responsibilities of Air Navigation Service Providers and Airport Authorities.
Describe the procedure for controlling the airside access, Aircraft turnaround plan, and Airside vehicle control and driving.
Explain the procedure of the airport’s Emergency Response Plan.
Apply procedure for managing the hazardous meteorological conditions, movement area inspection, wildlife hazards, and hazardous materials.
Manage Works in Progress in the airside.
Apply an Airside communication procedure to prevent runway incursion and excursion.

Certification Criteria

Certificate of Attendance for participants with 80% of attendance
